Eclipsed from the headlines by the ongoing carnage, there is an active
civil resistance in Iraq that opposes the occupation, the torture regime
it protects, and the jihadi and Ba'athist 'resistance' alike.

I basically agree with Ahmadinejad's strategy, which is to ballast the absurd interpretations of history that continue to "justify" the occupation of Palestine. There is a Legend of The Holocaust that differs signicantly from the facts. It's definitely revisionist. He's doing himself a bit of a disservice by choosing the term "Myth" - if that is indeed how the Persian word accurately translates.
The Auschwitz jibe, instead of going for Mauthausen (which would have been the really legend eviscerating move - given that fewer than a third of the camp's victims were Jewish) also weakens what would have been an easier win. But I think Iran has good relations with Austria.
The inconvenient facts and unanswered questions surrounding the attacks are legion, but the endemic sloppiness of the self-styled "researchers" is delegitimizing the entire project of critiquing the "official version." The ostentatiously named "Truth movement" is not clearing the air, but muddying the water.
