About the sentence:

I disagree with this as stated above. I'm as American as anyone having nothing to do with my race or DNA. Now we can quote Paine or John Lennon and march towards a glorious pluralistic internationalist future but in the present I refuse to make apologies for my ancestry. Period.

And if the Kurds want to be New Yorkers too let them move here as long as they bring some hot chicks.
